Rio Branco Girls

This is my first post on the Rio Branco pumilio since acquiring these kids last March. It took a while to get through the parasite situation that presented itself upon arrival, but with treatment they are now all clear and finally in their permanent home. The girls have definitely been getting a little bolder with time, but still tend to run from the camera. The male is nearly impossible to catch. As I mentioned a while back, my very fist pumilio was a Rio Branco. When I saw them for sale again I quickly jumped. I probably paid too much considering the recent influx of pumilio imports, but I was overtaken by sentimentality. I call the girls the sevens as they both have markings that resemble the # 7 on their back.
